had I met him when he was still alive. In his videos available with the group on youtube, he comes accross as a take me as I am or don't take me & see if I care sort. He just seems to go out on stage and have fun doing what he loved best, belting out the tunes. A friend characterized him after death as a what you see is what you get type.
Unfortunately I also think he should be in the "Darwin Awards" volumes for the stupid way he died...drinking excessively & asphyxiating on his own vomit. Drinking excessively is stupid, especially when a person has, as he did, asthma. I had a classmate who died disobeying instructions to avoid alcoholic beverages while taking a particular asthma medicine. I believe it was wikipedia that noted he was asthmatic, yet passed out in a car on a very cold night. I know cold air is as an asthma trigger for me. Ironically, his final video is a live cut of "Highway to Hell", and he died a few days after it was made. I don't know if I should laugh or cry about how prophetic this was, but you can tell by the man's demeanor he was definitely in another zone at the time. What a waste of a talented life!
I much prefer bon scott to brian johnson, there was just something about him really. He really does come accross as that type, even in his singing.
